About Premises Portal

Premises Portal is a documentation platform for the premises that the Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act 2025, known as Martyn’s Law, brings into scope. One place to hold the documents the Act requires, keep them consistent, and share them when the regulator asks. The platform launches in 2027, ahead of the Act coming into force.

How this site is researched

Every legal statement published here is checked against the primary sources before it appears: the Act itself, the Home Office statutory guidance, the notification regulations and the SIA’s published material. Each guide carries the date it was last verified.

The law is still moving: the SIA’s final regulatory guidance is expected in autumn 2026 and commencement in spring 2027. We run a standing fortnightly review of the primary sources, and when something changes, the guides change with it.

Two guides, maintained on that fortnightly cycle: Martyn’s Law: what venues need to know, and the complete documents checklist. More will follow as the regulatory picture firms up.

The product

The platform is in build, on an engine already proven in live event-safety documentation work. It will hold every document the Act asks of a venue, keep the facts in them consistent as plans change, and produce what the regulator needs, in the form the law specifies and nothing more. Details will be published closer to launch.
